Changes in the Supervisory Board of Rail Baltica Estonia

Changes were made in the Supervisory Board of Rail Baltica Estonia. By the decision of the Minister of Economic Affairs Ms Kadri Simson, the partner of Investment Agency  Illar Kaasik and an advisor to the Ministry of the Economic Affairs Antti Moppel left the Supervisory Board.

The new Supervisory Board consists of André Küüsvek, Märt Kivine, the former special envoy of the Minister of Finance, Tiit Roben, the former CEO of Merko Ehitus and Erik Laidvee, the CEO of Estonian Railways. The project team of the rail infrastructure development project important for Estonia received an addition. The infrastructure company developed by the three Baltic countries will  create a future opportunity for serving North-South travellers and commodities cargo and has also fired up the discussions for establishing the construction Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel. The importance of the Rail Baltica project has also been emphasized in the press release of the world’s 18th largest operator of container terminals Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG that recently acquired AS Transiidikeskus.

The partner of Investment Agency Illar Kaasik participated in the work of the Supervisory Board of   Rail Baltic Estonia during the period of 2014-2018.
